Current Scenario of MCA in India

The number of MCA seats are limited in all the universities of India. The curriculum also varies from one college to another for the MCA Entrance. Therefore, it is hard to have a combined method when the students are getting ready for the exam. The students should have excellent mathematical and calculative skills (some questions might come from B.Sc standards) since majority of the questions will come from Statistics and Mathematics. Computer awareness is an added advantage.

Since the present age is the age of information technology, an individual with an MCA degree can get absorbed in top-ranking Information Technology firms and consultancy firms including Wipro, TCS, Oracle, Cognizant and IBM. They can get jobs in big companies where there is an internal systems division. An MCA can start his or her career as a programmer, system developer or many other positions.
